Equipment Rule Changes for 2026-27

The following requirements will be applied to all regular conference tournaments. Rising Star Circuit tournaments will have separate rules.

• Full length socks must be worn

• No jeans or sweats (even pocketless)

  • Must have fencing knickers or baseball pants without pockets

• Hair must be up and off the back of the neck

• Masks must have

  • two safety straps

  • foil masks must have electric bibs

• Jackets and lames must be zipped on the correct side or in back

• 800N gloves (recommended)

• NO penalties for blades or electric cords presented to the referee that do not work

• YELLOW CARD given if a fencer presents themself to the referee and they do NOT have the above equipment requirements
