SWIFA HOST SCHOOL’s RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide 12 electrical scoring apparatus. Borrowing from various sources (including other SWIFA members) is expected and contact information can be supplied for entities if needed.

  • Set up 6-12 strips as required by the expected number of teams.

  • Grounded & metallic strips for epee if possible.

  • Strips should be arranged in groups by each weapon so that each weapon is in its own “pod”.

  • Provide tables and chairs as necessary but at least 2 tables for the Bout Committee and 4 tables for the Armoury Station.

  • Provide a ream of printer paper.

  • Provide breakfast and lunch for referees and tournament operations workers.  **Remember to submit your Expense Form available online at the SWIFA site in order to get reimbursed!** 

  • Assign a student to assist the Armoury and Bout Committee.

    • In order to accommodate students who wish to also fence, you may assign shifts to more than one student in each area as long as the stations are covered.

  • Vendors are at the discretion of the Host School’s Club and its RecSports Department. Vendor contracts are not part of SWIFA’s purview and SWIFA has no liability for any interactions between the Host Club, its university and participating students.
